Our name pretty much says what we do we are a metal spinning company, what's that you say?
Metal spinning is the process of forming a piece of flat metal in sheet stock over a pre-turned, three-dimensional pattern while it is spinning on a machine tool similar to a lathe. The forming is accomplished by applying pressure to the metal as it spins thus forcing it against the form and causing the metal to take the shape of the form. Metal spinning is most commonly used for open forms; meaning that the opening diameter is larger than the rest of the form, thus allowing the spun metal to be easily removed from the pattern. When closed forms are required, it is possible to form the component as multiple pieces and then solder them together to form the final closed spun form.

We
produce products by spinning pieces of metal on a lathe. We have
spun numerous things from light components, cooking utensils,
church furnishings i.e. urns to plant pots. We also have made
wheel trims and display pieces that can be found in local market
places, pubs, restaurants, churches and museums. We have also
made specialist pieces for St Paul's Cathedral, Chelsea footbal
Club and the Prince of Arabia. We
produce products for most light manufacturers, architects,
interior designers, engineers, church furnishers and the general
public. Occasionally we assist university students with projects
and scientists have also asked for us to help them with a
few projects they have done in the past. |
